FV Interior | Amsterdam

Located on the Keizersgracht, this duplex residence is part of a monumental canal house, named

‘de Zonnekeizer’. The design consists of a daytime zone on the elevated ground floor and a nighttime

zone in the half sunken basement. The different functions on the ground floor are defined by three

fixed interior elements, supporting these functions. The experience of generosity, the penetration of

natural daylight and the view on the canal are thereby optimized. Two sliding panels generate the

opportunity to create a separate guest bedroom and bathroom.
