Tirana Station Towers | Albania

In collaboration with the Architekten Cie BaksvanWengerden Architecten designed two towers for

the new station area in Tirana, Albania. Both towers contain a maximum mix of offices, hotel rooms

and apartments.

Tower A has a vertical mix of programme supplemented by vertical voids to optimise the penetration

of natural daylight and generate views over the city and the adjoining mountains. In tower B the

programme is horizontally mixed with open floors to accommodate public facilities – restaurant,

lounge bar and health club. Both towers have retail and catering programme at ground floor level.

In addition to this tower B has a underground passageway to a music pavilion in the park.

The intensified multi-use character of these towers underscores the ambition to invigorate city life

in this part of Tirana. The two towers are different but unmistakably related.
